Changed Your Plans and Want to Fly Out?
If you plan on driving to the Motorsport Park and later decide you’d like to fly out, please note that one-way return flights can only be booked the day before the event, subject to availability.

HOT LAPS
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to see the race from a bird’s-eye view—while it’s happening? Now’s your chance to take your race day experience to new heights with our exclusive Helicopter Hot Laps.
Soar above the track, experiencing every twist and turn from a truly unique vantage point, while enjoying the stunning views of Lake Taupo, Mt Tauhara, and the Southern Volcanic Peaks.
What You Need to Know:
- Price: $100 per person
- Hot Laps Running From: 9am to 4pm – all three days!
- No Pre-Bookings: Simply show up, no advance booking.
- Payment: Easily pay by card or cash upon arrival.

- Helicopter Selection: Escape Aviation will operate a variety of helicopters at this event, each offering a unique experience. Please note, specific helicopter requests cannot be guaranteed.
- Safety First: If the pilot deems you a safety risk due to intoxication or any other reason, Escape Aviation reserves the right to deny entry to the helicopter
- Cancellation & Refunds: Should you be unable to attend, refunds are available up to 24 hours before the event Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the event.
- When booking, you are paying for a seat in the helicopter. You and/or your party may be sharing with other groups.
